Saturday contintued... Abseiling from out of a cave was amazing! Scary but amazing! By this time it was getting quite late and we still needed to get back to Ao Nang where we were staying. So we followed the guy along the beach just before sunset.
Sunday we were up early again, but this time we were picked up on time, which is a first since being here! We had a long jouney and after a couple of hrs arrived at an elephant place ( whatever you call them!) It was 2 people to an elephant, i got on with Charise, Amie got on with keirsten. We went on a small treck around the jungle then back to the van which took us just up the road to rafting. Once we arrived they started filming from the minute we got out the van, however the video turned out to be rubbish! We were given life jackets, helmets and a paddle. We were given a short saftey brief before we got into the boat, then we were ready to go. There must of been about 50 other boats on the river at the same time, which seemed quite dangerous at the time but we had soo much fun! Everyone was splashing each other and at one point we were all dragged out of the boat (once we had stopped) 'for a swim!' It was such a laugh because our life jackets were up around our heads and all you could see were bobbing heads. After a really nice lunch, we were taken to the waterfalls, which were really beautiful! I eventually plucked up the courage to jump into the falls from a huge rock! It was one of the scariest things i have ever done! Then we headed back to collect our bags ready to be taken back to Krabi town then home to sleep ready for school early the next morning :)

Hey...
So after a really good night, we managed to wake up at 7 o'clock to get make sure we were on time for the car to take us to the pier so that we could get over to Railay beach for some rock climbing! We were all so tired.. but we managed it, we ended up having to wait nearly an hour for the car anyway! Before getting to the pier we stopped off to pick up some rock climing shoes each and a harness. By the time we reached the pier, there was a long tail boat full of other people, waiting for us!
When we first arrived, we had to put on our harnesses and were shown how to attach the rope that we would be connected to when climbing.. i think the man was getting slightly annoyed with me, because i wasnt really listening as i was so tired from the night before!he kept saying.. follow the rope, follow the rope! but it was funny. There were several different mountain faces to climb, so we just chose the one without a cue to begin with. It was actually quite scary by the time we were all ready to go! Looking at how high we would climbing, we didnt think we would be able to manage it..but we did :) The view from the top was amazing! We were all so sweaty though by the time we reached the top, it was disgusting! Anyway, the next couple of climbs were in the shade so i decided to sit out as i wasn't feeling to good, Amie managed one of them though and she thought it was slightly easier than the first one! Kiersten and Charice, the other girls that came with us, managed 2 or 3 of these! I decided that i needed more food after watching some more climbing, we all sat down for lunch. It was only us 4 out of the whole group that were staying for the whole day, the rest were heading back to Ao Nang. The people that we were with said that we had about an hour to go off and explore other parts of the island, before climbing started in the afternoon. We decided to head to the other side, where we found the most amazing beach ever!! it was soo pretty! and the water was really clear :)
We went exploring by climbing over huge rocks and eventually reached a small lagoon. We decided to swim to anothe bunch of rocks, however there were thousands of tiny rocks in the water and i managed to graze my Knee and it really hurt! We had completely lost track of time at this point and decided to head back to where we were climbing as we were already half an hr late!
The second part of the day was the best part! We all did one more climb, which was soo high! by the time we had all finished jus about every part of our bodies ached! They then took us through a cave in which part of it was pitch black and there were bats flying around! scary! We eventually made it to the other side and the only way down was to abseil! It was soo gd, however i decided to go first and seriously banged my shoulder against a huge rock! ouchh!!
Anyway im going to stop here because i am seriously blabbering and boring myself! haha! so i will finsish this maybe tomorrow because there is just to much to explain!

Tiger Temple and partying hard
Me again...(Amie!)
We have been so busy this last few days that we are splitting it between us to write!
Thursday after school we picked everyone up, bought lots of water and hiked up the 1237 (i think) steps to Tiger Temple. Some of the steps are so sheer its like walking up a ladder. We were all sweating so much and I originally thought we wouldn't make it after a hectic day at school, but Charlotte and I charged up and when we got to the top it was incredible. There is a massive gold Buddha sitting right at the top and you have to take your shoes off to get closer. The view one side was amazing. We are completely surrounded by mountains here and it's so green everywhere. But the other side there was a massive black cloud and a storm complete with thunder and lightening heading fast towards us. So we rushed to take pictures as Dear (the Projects Abroad lady) said GET DOWN NOW!! haha we just got to the very top step and it started to rain. Hard. The steps became an instant waterfall and we got soaked through...my shoes are still drying and it's now Monday! It was such a laugh and felt such an achievement when we got to the top in the 35c+ heat. Once we were in the truck and in Krabi town it had turned into a monsoon and rain was blowing in from every angle, as the sides are all open our now changed dry clothes were wet again, except for Charlottes as she was wearing her trusty sexy poncho! Dear told Charlotte, Jen ( a new volunteer who is now living with us :) ) and I not to go home as the storm would make the boats unsafe so we went to get frappe lattes from a little coffee shop we've found.
The next day we went to Ao Nang to book a hostel for the weekend as we had the monthly dinner with all the volunteers from the conservation part of PA. After the dinner we went to the balcony of one of the rooms and had pre drinks together before moving on to a club. We had such a great night of getting to know each other, singing and dancing. Patrick (our driver) and Dear came along too and we all let our hair down forgetting we had an early start and very active weekend ahead!

Phuket
What a busy week! We only had work Wed, Thurs and Fri so it went by so quickly! We finally met three other volunteers and spent some time with them going out for meals and Thai Massages etc.
School is still great! We are starting to learn the kids personalities now and a few names, they're so difficult to remember. I wish we could speak Thai because a few of them are quite chatty with us and we just have to respond with smiles and nods as if we understand! Charlotte and I both have our favourites (I know we shouldn't but we do!) and are planning to bring them home.
This weekend seven of us went to Phuket and had an awesome time. It had been raining all afternoon Friday and hadn't stopped by the time we needed to leave. We got two motorbikes, a boat and walked about 15 minutes through the sheets of rain. They weren't lying that it was rainy season! Our clothes were stuck to us and all the clothes in my rucksack were drenched! Once we got on the bus we saw there were no seats so we were all sat in the aisles hoping that someone would want to get off before Phuket. Thankfully they did but some people had to stand the whole THREE hours! Once we arrived we went to Patong where we had booked a guesthouse, then headed out to dinner and a couple of bars before heading to bed, knackered!
Saturday morning the sun was up (finally) so we rushed to the beach and got harrassed all day by people wanting to sell us their stuff! One little boy kissed my cheek and gave me a flower necklace...he was like 'come on flower, 100bht' he was cute and i felt mean saying no..he'll get over it! We went banana boating and then shopping for fake goods before going out for an amazing Indian meal then...wait for it...a LADYBOY SHOW!! haha it was so disturbing but amazingly fun. They all wanted their pictures taken with us and we happily obliged! They're such weirdo's though! Charlotte was a bit freaked out, I think we all were to be honest but it was something we wanted to experience in Phuket so with a couple of Changs (Thai Beers) in our systems we watched them miming to Lady Gaga and Phil Collins! Afterwards the others headed back but Charlotte, Grace and I went and sat on the beach with our beers and watched people lighting lanterns to send into the sky.
Sunday was a bit of a random day, we headed to the bus station about 4 where we were moments from missing it! They had waited for us but were just about to give up and stopped the bus reversing out of its space for us to get on...we were so lucky to get on.
Once we were home we sat and had dinner with the family and just as we finished a woman walked in (they just wander into other peoples houses all the time here!) saying that Charlotte and I were going with her to meet 'our friends' for dinner, Since we are the only people we know of on the island we didn't know who these 'friends' were :S Outside were a Dutch and an English girl in our Tuk Tuk and we were taken to a restaurant to eat a second dinner with them. They live next door and aren't with Projects Abroad. It was so random!
This week we are planning to head to Ao Nang after school a couple of days and have a hike up Tiger Temple on Thursday. We have a new volunteer arriving tomorrow to live with us so we're looking forward to that.
Anyway we're going for an ice cream. Sorry this is a babbling post!
